Pour ce faire, il s’intéresse à la figure de l’hystérique, soit au personnage au-delà de la catégorie psychopathologique. L’article propose ainsi une relecture des grands textes de Freud et de Lacan sur l’hystérie à partir des critiques féministes de Luce Irigaray, Gayle Rubin et Judith Butler, entre autres. Il montre ainsi en quoi l’hystérique fonctionne comme un point de rencontre essentiel entre le champ psychanalytique et celui des féminismes : d’un côté, elle rappelle le lien étroit entre l’inconscient et le politique, de l’autre, elle permet de saisir l’articulation complexe entre genre et désir dans un ordre patriarcal. En ce sens, elle demeure une figure essentielle encore aujourd’hui, à la fois pour les psychanalystes et les féministes. From a cross perspective between psychoanalysis and feminist theory, this paper questions the epistemological and political relevance of the psychoanalytical notion of hysteria. To do so, it focuses on the hysterical woman as a figure beyond the psychopathological category of hysteria. The paper thus proposes to revisit texts by Freud and Lacan on hysteria from the feminist perspective of Luce Irigaray, Gayle Rubin, and Judith Butler, among others. It shows how the hysterical woman works as an essential meeting point between the psychoanalytical field and that of feminisms: on the one hand, she reminds us of the close link between the unconscious and the political, and on the other, she allows us to grasp the complex relation between gender and desire in a patriarchal order.
