Il s’agira notamment de décrire le contexte épistémologique du xixe et de souligner les enjeux, normatifs et politiques, qui président au développement des concepts pathologisant les sexualités non-reproductives – objets d’étude traditionnels des études queer. Enfin, nous proposerons de tracer quelques ponts entre l’analyse philosophique du normal de Canguilhem et les théories queers en suggérant de nouveaux chemins queers et naturalistes basés sur le concept de normativité de Canguilhem. The aim of this article is to trace the formation of pathological categories “homosexuality” and “sexual inversion” at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, through the contributions of the philosopher of medicine Georges Canguilhem and the work of philosopher Julie Mazaleigue-Labaste. It will specifically describe the epistemological context of the 19th century and highlight the normative and political stakes involved in the development of concepts that pathologize non-reproductive sexualities—traditional subjects of queer studies.
